Farmer's Market is back! WhooHOO!

Today is the first day of Chicago's Green City Market. My farmer's market is back! I bought fresh scallions, lettuce, asparagus, mushrooms, goat cheese and two strawberry plants (which I hope will grow in a strawberry pot in my tiny garden). I also picked up two morel mushrooms -- expensive ($1.50 each) -- but I'm curious about their taste. I'm going to try them in a fritata (sp?) tonight. I want something that won't cover up their flavor.

Here are some celebratory first day photos:

Walking to the market

See the first duckling? It's in the seal pond at the zoo. (I don't think the duckling is long for this world...)

Crepes!

Best cheese ever . . .
